Bổ túc thêm về Nhạc Sĩ Việt Khang

Thưa các anh, các chị,
1) Xin chuyển tới các anh, các chị một tài liệu bổ túc về Việt Khang tôi vừa nhận được từ anh chị em Tuổi Trẻ Yêu Nước.
Theo chỗ tôi biết, tài liệu này sẽ được nhạc sĩ Trúc Hồ cùng các nghệ sĩ tại SBTN và Trung tâm ASIA dùng trong việc vận động can thiệp, đòi trả tự do cho VK. Cũng là tài liệu Ts. Nguyễn Đình Thắng sẽ dùng trong bài thuyết trình của ông về các vi phạm nhân quyền đang diễn ra ở VN. (Theo chương trình dự định, Thứ Ba tuần tới, 24 tháng 1-2012, đúng ngày mồng 2 Tết, Tiểu ban đặc trách về các vấn đề Nhân quyền thuộc Uỷ ban Ngoại giao của Hạ viện Hoa Kỳ sẽ triệu tập một buổi điều trần về các vi phạm nhân quyền mới đây tại Việt Nam. Buổi điều trần này đặt dưới quyền chủ toạ của Dân biểu Christopher Smith, và sẽ được tổ chức tại phòng 2200, Rayburn House Office Building, bắt đầu từ 2 giờ chiều, nhằm mở đầu một nỗ lực vận động cho nhiều đạo luật của Quốc hội, ảnh hưởng tới chính sách của Hành pháp Hoa Kỳ liên quan đến Việt Nam trong năm 2012. Các vấn đề điều trần bao gồm việc đàn áp tôn giáo, đàn áp các sắc dân thiểu số, nạn buôn người, tình trạng tra tấn và bạo lực của công an, việc bắt bớ những người lên tiếng cho tự do, dân chủ … hoặc bày tỏ lòng yêu nước).
2) Cũng xin chuyển trạm nối cho bài phỏng vấn Ls. Nguyễn Văn Đài do đài VOA (Tiếng Nói Hoa Kỳ) thực hiện, trong đó Ls. Đài cho biết: “Đa số người dân đã mất niềm tin vào sự lãnh đạo của đảng Cộng sản …, mọi người đều mong muốn có sự đổi mới về chính trị, khát khao tự do dân chủ,” và: “Các yếu tố từ bên ngoài lẫn các yếu tố bên trong đều rất thuận lợi để phong trào dân chủ Việt Nam có bước phát triển trong năm 2012″:

4) Một bài thơ đặc sắc, đầy khí thế, lấy nhan đề “Tuổi Trẻ Đáp Lời” mới xuất hiện trên trang mạng Tuổi Trẻ Yêu Nước của nhà thơ Quang Dương. Tôi rất xúc động khi đọc thấy mấy câu sau đây:
Tuổi trẻ không thể yên
Tuổi trẻ phải đứng lên
Gương anh hùng liệt nữ
Từ ngàn xưa vẫn truyền

Born into a poor family in 1978 as Võ Minh Trí, he grew up and lives in My Tho, Tien Giang with his wife and their small son. He attended and completed secondary education in My Tho. He discovered his love for music from an early age, and has made a living as a songwriter under the pen name Minh Trí. He is also a skilled drum player, performing with several local bands. He operates a small recording studio to provide for his family’s livelihood.

The songs composed under the pen name Minh Trí includes: Bạn Thân (Close Friends), sung and recorded by the professional singer Đan Trường, Bà Má Miền Tây (The Mother from the Western Part of South Vietnam) sung and recorded by the popular singer Lý Hải.
As he toured many areas in South and Central Vietnam to perform, he increasingly noticed rampant social injustices and widening poverty that affect his people and threaten his country’s future. Disturbed, he shared his feelings and thoughts with other like-minded young Vietnamese.
II. The “Tuổi Trẻ Yêu Nước” Group:
“Tuổi Trẻ Yêu Nước” (or “Patriotic Youth”) is a loose network of college students, young professionals and young artists, who came together in April 2011 for the purpose of promoting public consciousness over social injustices and the danger to Vietnam’s sovereignty in the face of China’s territorial ambitions. Some of the association’s members created blogs and websites to advocate for the respect of human rights, freedom, and free elections. Others passed out fliers calling for democratic reforms and the defense of Vietnam’s islands and territory. Under the new pen name of “Việt Khang,” Võ Minh Trí composed two songs and personally performed both of them.
In “Việt Nam Tôi Đâu?” (Where is my Vietnam?), he confesses disillusionment with a regime that pays little attention to the spreading social injustices, decries the leadership’s lack of resolve in defending the country’s sovereignty, and calls on the Vietnamese people to assume responsibility for Vietnam’s future.

In “Anh là ai ?” (Who are you?), he calls on the conscience of public security police members who brutally assaulted, arrested and detained demonstrators for peacefully expressing concerns over China’s territorial ambitions. After personally performing both of these songs, he posted them on the internet.

Soon after their posting, on September 16, 2011 the police arrested Viet Khang and two other members of Patriotic Youth (the songwriter Trần Vũ Anh Bình, pen name Hoàng Nhật Thông, and student Nguyễn Thiện Thành). The police confiscated Viet Khang’s computer and all equipments at his recording studio. He was released, and then re-arrested on December 23, 2011. He is currently held without charges and in solitary confinement at Detention Center PA-24, No. 4, Phan Dang Luu Street, Ho Chi Minh City. Also held without being charged is his songwriter fellow Trần Vũ Anh Bình (pen name Hoàng Nhật Thông).
